Accounts

The account is a legal entity associated with services and payments. It supports an unlimited number of users, each with specific roles and access levels.

Managing user roles is essential for defining access levels within the account. The following are common user roles:

  • Owners - have full access to the account with user management capabilities

  • Managers - oversee operations without user management capabilities

Depending on the roles, users can manage the following options:

  • Secure the account with two-factor authentication and with SSH keys

  • Create contacts

  • Create API tokens for using the Public API

  • Interact with technical support by creating support tickets and managing access for the support team to the account

Accounts FAQ

To add a user to the account, you need to send a request from the primary account to sales@servers.com specifying your additional email. The credentials for access to the portal will be sent to the provided email.

Identity and access management

Identity and access management (IAM) is a set of processes, settings and policies for account identities, authentication and authorization. In simple terms, IAM allows you to organize access to servers.com resources in accordance with your needs in a safe way.

Enforce 2FA

Corporate security policies may require employees to have two-factor authentication enabled. The servers.com customer portal allows you to make sure this requirement is met by enabling the Enforce 2FA option.

IP allowlist

The IP allowlist is a feature that limits account access via the customer portal by allowing only specific networks. This option can only be managed by an account owner and doesn't restrict access to other systems other than the customer portal (for example, access to the public API will remain).
